The North Porch
The North Porch was another addition to the original design. Though less elaborate than the one on the south side, it has an arch-vaulted stone roof carved with quatrefoils. It also contains the only nineteenth-century memorial inside the church - a simple brass commemorating Thomas Roddis, the sculptor responsible for most of the ornamental stone-carving at St. Giles. He died in 1845. |
